Contemporary art is continually evolving, yet few artists have introduced an entirely new visual language in such a short period of time. At the forefront of this movement stands Gayle Printz, globally recognized as a World Master Artist and the Founder of Modern Abstractionism.

Times CEO Magazine: You began painting in May of 2020, without formal art training. What motivated you to start, and how did that early experience shape your artistic voice?
Gayle Printz:
“The impact of COVID was inescapable. The world had gone dark. Forced to stay home, the only thing I had in abundance was time; so I tried something new. Without any training, I picked up a paintbrush to interpret the beauty that remained in a disrupted world.
I have not taken a painting class, nor do I look to the work of other artists for inspiration. Regardless of my interest, I never want to mirror the style of another artist; I want to create my own.
Absence of training allows me to be who I am. I experiment, explore the unfamiliar and, as a result, have been able to make a meaningful contribution to the art world by creating what does not exist. Though often compared to the great masters of abstractionism, my paintings are expressed in a distinctly original voice.
And it all began while I was locked away because of the pandemic. Channeling my energy into something creative I could do at home, my style evolved instinctively and spontaneously, driven by the freedom, experimentation, and emotional depth that remain central to my artwork.”

Times CEO Magazine: As a renowned World Master Artist and the Founder of Modern Abstractionism, your work is described as ground-breaking, unique, and unmistakable. How would you describe your artistic philosophy and the emotional impact you aim to create?
Gayle Printz:
“My artistic philosophy is rooted in the importance of inspiring others through emotional resonance and imaginative engagement. Analyzing the themes that connect us to one another, I use art to inspire, unite, and heal on a universal level.
Each painting contains profound meaning. Yet, because the enduring significance of art lies in the emotion it evokes, I never tell viewers what to see. Encouraging freedom of interpretation, I invite viewers to enter a world in which they can never be wrong.
I want them to experience my work through the context of their lives, individual history, memories, and emotions. Provoking curiosity, reflection, and emotional connection, I ask viewers to use their imaginations and experiences as the lens through which to define what makes each piece meaningful to them. By unraveling highly textured layers of ever-changing symbolism, viewers find the humanity, inspiration, and beauty expressed through my work.”
Times CEO Magazine: In a short period of time, your work has gained international recognition and entered permanent museum and esteemed private collections. What do these achievements mean to you?
Gayle Printz:
“The extraordinary recognition my paintings receive is both humbling and deeply affirming. Four months after finishing my first piece, my work was added to the permanent exhibit of a museum in France and, in less than a year, I was named one of the World’s Top Master Artists.
But the accomplishment I hold most dear is that every collector, investor, and art lover who purchases my artwork returns shortly thereafter for more.
Making a meaningful contribution does not follow a prescribed timeline. Emotional authenticity transcends borders, cultures, and expectations. Using color to convey abstract concepts, my work is a journey through the evolution of contemporary abstraction.
In contrast to formally trained artists who often use specific subjects, themes, or color combinations across their work, I created a modern art portfolio in which each painting differs in breadth, scale, and concept. My paintings are heartfelt yet visceral, emotionally delicate yet physically intense, profoundly personal yet globally relevant. In an aesthetically memorable manner, I hope to inspire intellectual discourse through the powerful force that defines Modern Abstractionism.”

Times CEO Magazine: How do you balance artistic integrity with the commercial realities of the art world?
Gayle Printz:
“I never worry about balancing integrity with sales potential. Artistic integrity is non-negotiable, and my work was never driven by commercial outcomes.
That said, I recognize that collectors, investors, and galleries consider exhibition history, reputation, market performance, originality, and emotional power. And I humbly admit this has all been achieved; I simply accomplished it in a very short time.
Having won over 2,500 international prizes and awards, my paintings naturally circulate through esteemed global markets, publications, and exhibitions, with many ending up in private collections around the globe.”
Times CEO Magazine: Your work is often described as a universal visual language. What legacy do you hope to leave for future generations?
Gayle Printz:
“Modern Abstractionism was born from my ability to transform the rules by innately crossing the traditional boundaries of established form and style.
Creating a visual language that is both deeply personal and universally relevant, my paintings became a historically enduring reference for the international art community.
My work is a testament to the power of creative freedom and emotional expression. It speaks a universal language in a voice that transcends artistic and cultural boundaries to embrace our communal soul.
I hope my remarkable journey inspires future generations to explore creativity without fear of judgment or limitation. For, as the Founder of Modern Abstractionism, my legacy extends well beyond my own experience; it is about expanding the possibilities of what contemporary art can be.”
